Rules & Format
SYMPOSIUM (Team Event)
Team size: 6–12 members (recommended: 3–4 speakers + 1 techie).
Eligibility: MBBS Students & Interns.
One member will act as point of contact.
Abstract rules to be released; selected teams present offline at Kakatiya Medical College.
SHORT ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Topic must be medically relevant with literature review, study design, data collection & analysis completed.
Word limit: ≤1500 words (from Title to References).

SECTION GUIDELINES FOR SHORT & LONG ABSTRACT
Title
Two titles required:
Research Title – clear study objective
AV Title – short, creative, concise
Introduction
Provide rationale, significance, relevance, background, gaps in existing research.
Objectives
1–3 precise, measurable, achievable goals.
Methodology
Include:
Study type, design, population, sample size, selection criteria, tools, data collection, statistical plan.
Ethical approval required with informed consent & confidentiality measures.
Results (Long abstract only)
Present statistical analysis with tables/graphs.
Implications
Expected outcomes, benefits, contribution to science.
References
Vancouver style, recent journal literature only.
Websites or newspaper references not allowed.
Short abstract — AMA format for references section.

PRESENTATION GUIDELINES
One final round only, abstract screening substitutes prelims.
AV presentation with prepared script required.
Carry KRITI 2024 Registration ID on presentation day.
Technical Format
Allowed formats: .ppt/.pptx or video (.MP4/.WMV/.AVI).
Use MS PowerPoint 2010+ and ensure compatibility.
Background music permitted (low volume; no voiceovers).
Bring own laptop (VGA/HDMI only). Avoid MacBooks.
College name must not appear in presentation or script.
Max 4 mics provided.
Rehearsal slots will be allotted.

10 min presentation
8 min Q&A
Judges: 5 min
Audience: 2 min
Organizers: 1 min
2 points deducted per extra minute.
Methodology + statistics + results must be ≥4 minutes.
